Toys (Gangu or Omotya)in Japanese
There are so many toys in Japan.
Games are popular after entering elementary schools.
Switch , 3DS ,Wii produced by Nintendo.
Play Stations , Xbox , etc.
We use words “Omotya” or “Gangu” for children may be under around 10 years old.
After 10 years old , we use name of things for things which children play with like Baseball goods , Games , Cards.
Because older children can choose something ?
Younger children play with a lot of thing because they can not focus on ?
We call toys “Omotya” in Japanese.
Actually we can call “Gangu” as well.
But we do not use that word “Gangu”.
And we imagine more skilled toys or Japanese traditional toys for Gangu.
Japanese Traditional Blocks made by wood, Tops made by wood , Paper battle tools “Menko” below, etc .
